  As a young family, the Ottawa Public Library – Elmvale Acres branch – has been a cornerstone of our neighborhood life : from participating to baby and me / toddler time, borrowing books (as well as buying the library’s used books at a very low cost) and hanging out in the kids’ section (playing with the activity walls, building blocks and coloring sheets).

  We love spending time there, always with a warm welcome from a very knowledgeable, helpful and patient staff. As a bilingual family, we also love that we can find bilingual resources for both us and our twins.

  As a newcomer to Canada and a resident of Centertown Ottawa, The public library (Main) on Metcalfe, has been a vital space for our little family. We have used the printing for important documents, we got play time and a social time for our little ones in the Kids section when it was raining or cold outside, we got books for all on us, specially early reader books now for our little one, helping with reading new books all the time.

  Creative mind growth is the term that comes to mind with your library!

  Your library, for someone coming here from smaller towns in Quebec is a treasure trove! Your friendly staff & range of french /english books delight my grandkids.

  There is never enough time to explore all that is out there which is available in your space. You rock this town for thirsty knowledge seekers like me!!!
