The City of Ottawa is seeking input the lifecycle replacement of the asphalt tennis courts at Alfred Taylor Park.
According to the Strategic Asset Management Plan (2017), the Ageing Assets Strategy states that “to maintain levels of service over time and to remain sustainable, not all assets should or can be replaced before reaching the end of their expected service life.”
Therefore, the scope of the current lifecycle replacement project is specific to rebuilding the 4 tennis courts as follows:
Maintain two full tennis courts with both tennis and pickleball lines closest to the parking lot.
The other two existing tennis courts shall be converted to 6 pickleball courts.
The addition of chain link fencing between the tennis and pickleball courts is proposed.
A new accessible route and seating shall be included in the SOW.
A proposed concept plan is located in the Document Library on this page. Residents are invited to provide comments through the survey.
A summary of public comments will be posted to this website upon completion of the public consultation.
Construction to commence 2024, pending budget approval.
