Reallocate funding now.

I want to see a reallocation of funding directly into programs and support for health, food, housing and education for those who need it. I want to see it start with defunding police.

I want to see direct consultation (well beyond the limits of this almost invisible and inaccessible forum) with underserved communities and marginalized people. Consultation during a pandemic is a challenge but is perhaps even more important now.

I want people in positions of power to listen to those currently delivering underfunded services about what they need to deliver more and better services.

Safety and well-being is knowing that everyone is heard and provided for. There is no lack of funding, only misallocated funds that do nothing to serve people, all people, in Ottawa.
