Please please defund the police

There are a plethora of health and safety services that could and would use the funding given to the police services in a more manner that is more beneficial to the community.

As someone who regularly walks down Rideau street, it is heartbreaking to me to see the kind and gentle souls who are forced to live on the street who would greatly benefit from having better services available to them.

The over funding of the police is directly responsible for some of the glaring flaws in Ottawa society.
