Playground Replacement

The City of Ottawa is proposing to replace the junior playground equipment in Springhurst Park in 2020, subject to receiving funding approval in the 2020 City Budget. Two options have been developed for the replacement of the junior playground equipment. Engineered wood fibre is proposed to be used as the protective surfacing material for the playground to meet accessibility requirements. A separate sand play area is also proposed. Residents are invited to attend a public open house to view and provide feedback on the options.

Concept plans with images of the playground equipment options are located in the Document Library on this page. Residents can take the following survey to provide comments and preferences on the playground equipment options.
