OC Transpo Accessibility Plan Consultations
Provide input on the next OC Transpo Accessibility Plan
The OC Transpo Accessibility Plan is a requirement under the Federal Government’s Accessible Canada Act. It is a three-year plan that includes ways in which OC Transpo will work to reduce or eliminate barriers people with disabilities face within our public transit programs, services and facilities over time.
OC Transpo is committed to making continuous changes and to expanding the initiatives in the new plan as feedback is received, innovative practices emerge, or new standards are developed.
This plan will be developed and updated in consultation with the community of persons with disabilities.
We want to hear from you!
The current OC Transpo Accessibility Plan will end in May, 2026. To create the new 2026-2029 plan, staff in both the City's Corporate Accessibility Office and Transit Services will consult with the community of persons with disabilities in several ways:
virtual (online) consultations (to register, please see survey below)
in-person consultations (to register, please see survey below)
an online survey (see survey below)
a community toolkit for those wishing to host a consultation without City staff present (to request a copy, please contact accessibilityoffice@ottawa.ca)
We are seeking your input about disability-related barriers experienced when accessing OC Transpo’s services including conventional bus and rail services, as well as Para Transpo specialized services.
The information you provide will be used to update the next version of the OC Transpo Accessibility Plan, which will launch June 1, 2026.
