The Equity Team invited all to learn more about the Ottawa Stops Hate Together campaign and to help shape the campaign’s direction for 2027.

What is the Ottawa Stops Hate Together campaign?

The Ottawa Stops Hate Together campaign is a response to the rise in hate-crimes in Ottawa. The campaign educates about the harmful impacts of racism, strengthens community safety without policing and invests in community led solutions.

This campaign provides funding to equity-denied groups through community-led organizations, which is a part of the community-focused priorities in the City’s Anti-Racism Strategy. The Anti-Racism Strategy is a five-year plan to integrate racial equity into the City’s operations under the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) Framework.
