What is the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) Framework?
The EDIB Framework is a ongoing tool for accountability and transformation. It is about ensuring that all residents feel valued and heard. The purpose of the EDIB Framework is to pave sustainable pathways to embed EDIB in all aspects of the City’s Operations.
Will these sessions be bilingual?
Resources and feedback forms will be available in both English and French, however the sessions will be done primarily in English. Please let us know when registering if a French session is desired in the future.
How will my feedback be used?
Feedback will be summarized in a What We Heard Report and used to plan the direction of the 2027 Ottawa Stops Hate Together campaign, including community partnerships and funding allocation into the community.
Who are the partners involved in the Ottawa Stops Hate Together Campaign?
This campaign is a partnership between the City of Ottawa, the Mayor’s office, United Way East Ontario, Pinecrest-Queensway, Community Health Centre, SAFE (Strategies for Advocacy, Freedom and Empowerment), University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Who is the Equity Team?
The Equity Team falls under the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Indigenous Relations (EDI-IR) service area within the Community and Social Services Department at the City and has a mandate to advance equity work in the City of Ottawa
