Share your experience participating in Ottawa&rsquo;s municipal elections!The City of Ottawa&rsquo;s Elections Office wants your feedback on a number of topics including your experience participating in the 2022 Municipal Elections (if applicable), election-related communications, accessibility, and voting methods for future elections. The information you provide will help us plan future municipal elections in our city.Survey results will be summarized in a report to the Finance and Corporate Services Committee and City Council in advance of the 2026 Municipal Elections.The survey will be available until 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 3, and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Municipal elections in Ottawa

It&rsquo;s your city, your budget, and we want to hear from you! The City of Ottawa engages with residents each year to gather ideas and feedback as it drafts the budget for City Council&rsquo;s consideration. You have many opportunities to provide your input on items reflected in the budget year-round through your Councillor&rsquo;s office, committee meetings, social media, contacting 3-1-1 and scheduled engagement opportunities during the budget process. City Budget 2025

The City of Ottawa is developing a new comprehensive Zoning By-law for approval by Council in 2025. The by-law will implement the policies and directions in the <a href="https://engage.ottawa.ca/the-new-official-plan/news_feed/official-plan-tracked">new Official Plan</a> approved by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing on November 04, 2022. Once approved, the new Zoning By-law will replace the current Zoning By-law (By-law 2008-250).Starting in 2023, the City will be consulting with communities, the development industry, grass-roots organizations, non-profits and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone gets a chance to have their say in the new Zoning By-law.This Engage Ottawa page will be your one-stop shop for project updates and information on future public engagement opportunities. In 2021, there were 172,150 older adults over the age of 65 in Ottawa, making up 17% of the population. There are now more older adults than children under 15, and by 2030, it is estimated that one in five adults will be aged 65 and over.  </div><div class="OutlineElement Ltr SCXW197614142 BCX8">Ottawa&rsquo;s population of older adults is becoming increasingly more diverse and needs vary greatly between sub-groups of seniors. While seniors face many challenges as they age, some contributing factors such as low income and living alone are most associated with increased vulnerability and, in turn, a heightened risk of poor health outcomes. To reflect the findings from the Evaluation Report, and to adapt to new and emerging needs from older adults, the City is engaging in the development of a new iteration of the Older Adult Plan. City of Ottawa Older Adult Plan Consultation 

The City is developing a Climate Resiliency Strategy to assess how Ottawa is vulnerable to climate change and identify strategies to mitigate the greatest climate risks.Climate change will impact us all in our daily lives. Heatwaves will increase heat related illnesses, shifting freeze-thaw cycles will cause more damage to roads and more intense rainfall will increase the risk of flooding.To develop a strategy that meets the needs of everyone in Ottawa we need your input.
