WorldSkills still helping newcomers seek work: virtual appointments thanks to Atoosa Adnani

As part of WorldSkills’ suite of coaching and assistance to newcomers who want to contribute their skills to Ottawa, volunteers meet one-on-onewith job-ready immigrants to tailor their resumes to Canadian employers’ tastes. Atoosa Adnani, who coordinates these appointments, had the brainwave that we can move them online. Either she will set up a Zoom meeting or we can agree with the client on a convenient platform and time. It’s been a great way to continue to meet new people and learn.
