Your Best Match

Talking to someone who is going through something similar to you can be very helpful. This is why we are creating a “peer matching” program. Peer matching is when an experienced parent or caregiver is paired with a new parent or caregiver for support.

What would a good match look like to you? Is there something specific that you would want your peer to know? Would any of the following play a role in creating a helpful match:

  • Age, sex, gender, culture, ethnicity, or religion

  • Similar parenting experiences

  • Having children with disabilities or special needs

Are there other things to think about when being matched with someone?
