Redirect Police Funding

I believe the city needs to invest in improving mental health services, especially emergency services. In light of the recent deaths of several Canadians during wellness checks, it has become very clear that the police force is not adequately trained to respond to these types of situations. If even a small portion of the police budget was reallocated to other areas of community care, the safety of Ottawa's citizens would be vastly increased.
