Policed Crazy

I'm telling this story for my friend who no longer can tell his story because of the number of times he was arrested for walking while black. He has been in and out of holding cells and the back of police cars so many times that the shame drove him to joblessness and homelessness. He is now a paranoid schizophrenic man living on permanent disability. He was literally the highest priority on the Ottawa CMHA list because of the overwhelming amount of sh*t that he has had to take. We ticked off every box they had.
It took 2 years just to get him a place to live. Cost: $15,000 to me.
Thank god he hasn't been put in jail yet, where he would probably be drivin' crazier, if that's even possible.

Defund the police now! They don't need 100k a year. They don't need guns. And we don't want the violence.
