Police Reform Is The Bandaid Fix

Police reform is not working. We need those in positions of power to listen and prioritize the voices of Ottawa's citizens in order to dismantle decades of white supremacist norms which have caused blantantly disproportionate amounts of BIPOC policing.

This work cannot be done with a few simple policy changes. What is being called for is a long term commitment to safety for ALL, not just some. I would like to see a reallocation of funds, to start (which many have discussed in this forum already). We need to start prioritizing our community.
