Help Us Keep Each Other Safe

I'm hardly the only person here saying this, but I'm happy to be joining a chorus. Defunding the Ottawa Police Service, and redistributing those funds to help combat homelessness, aid in our communities' mental and physical health, and protect our environment would have huge impacts on our community safety and well being.

We should investing in supporting the community we have, not unjustly punishing BIPOC communities and the mentally ill. The funds that go to the OPS could have huge impacts in improving lives, rather than making them harder at best, and ending them at worst.

We can absolutely imagine a better future for our community than this.
