defund the police

the police are getting too much funding. the police budget for 2020 is 360 million while teachers are having to buy their own chalk and whiteboard markers and nurses are wearing trashbags as PPE. this is a time where relocating funds to healthcare is especially important! we should cut the police budget and relocate funds to education, healthcare and mental health services. you can even use those mental health services FOR police, seeing as the vast majority are not trained to be responding to cases concerning mental health. this is a HUGE issue that needs to be fixed. police don't need riot gear because someone threw a can of beans at them.
