Defund the police and redirect funds to social programs

I find it unacceptable that the police budget exceeds the budget of all other social services. The police force continually and disproportionately targets marginalized groups and this needs to stop. I call upon Ottawa to reduce funding to the police with an ultimate goal of defunding the police force and instead move funds to social programs such as public health and housing.
