New Zoning By-law - final draft

The final draft, Draft 3, of the new Zoning By-law is now out for circulation and comment until October 3, 2025. The final draft incorporates feedback received during the Draft 2 consultation period, particularly on the outstanding issues identified in the Draft 2 report and direction provided by council.

FINAL DRAFT PROVISIONS AND RESOURCES

• The final draft of the proposed new Zoning By-law was released to the public on September 8, 2025.

• Neighbourhood Evolution Renderings
• The final draft Schedules and Area Specific Schedules are available for review. Schedules A1 through A13 contain maps and graphics to identify areas which are subject to specific provisions or provide guidance on the application of certain provisions in the new Zoning By-law.
• Urban and rural exceptions will be brought forward in the current Zoning By-law to remain operational. A review of each exception will be conducted to align the provisions, terminology, and section numbers with the intent of the Official Plan and the new Zoning Bylaw, following approval of the new Zoning By-law in 2026.

ENGAGEMENT FOR THE FINAL DRAFT OF THE NEW ZONING BY-LAW

• The As-We-Heard-It reports released with the Q3 2025 – Status update on the new Zoning By-law - Final Draft IPD document Draft 2 consultation and feedback, including information on the virtual and in-person engagement sessions held in spring 2025, as well as a summary of the topics discussed at working group and advisory committee meetings.
