The City of Ottawa will be hosting a community engagement forum, Progress in Action: Forum on Updating the Anti-Racism and Women and Gender Equity Strategies, on July 18, 2024.

The community engagement forum is an opportunity to share updates about the City’s Anti-Racism Strategy (ARS) and Women and Gender Equity Strategy (WGES) specifically:

  • Results from the WGES Phase I Mid-Term Review,

  • Results from the WGES Phase II Public Engagement,

  • Updates on the ARS Actions, and

  • Updates to align the City’s efforts towards equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging (EDIB).

The Forum will also highlight the various progress made, how feedback from the community and several City departments are being integrated into the next phase of implementation, and a discussion to inform the City’s framework for public engagement.

We invite community members to review the materials and respond to questions posted on Engage Ottawa, in order to enable broader input and engagement especially for individuals who are unable to attend the in-person event in July. The Engage Ottawa page will be open from July 2 to 22, 2024 to ensure that we are able to integrate your feedback into the next report.

If you have any questions or comments, contact Alesia.Ibrahim@ottawa.ca or info@seasonova.ca. Thank you for your support and continued engagement in making our city a safe, diverse, and welcoming place for all.
