Black History Month

Celebrate Black History Month with us, #OttCity! This year, Ottawa’s Black History Month theme is “Our Canadian Story: Claiming Our Space,” which is a call to action for allies to help create safe spaces for Black community members, while encouraging Black residents to claim their space in our City. The national theme, “February and Forever: Celebrating Black History today and every day,” challenges us to take our commitment to celebrating Black History and Black Canadians beyond February and into our everyday efforts all year long.
