The City is looking for your feedback on the design concept of a new park located in the Mattamy Half Moon Bay Community in Barrhaven South. The new park will front onto Obsidian Street, which is located along the western frontage. To the north, east and south the park will be bound by Planned Unit Development consisting of low-rise residential development. The park is proposed to be named Obsidian Park.
The park concept includes play equipment, free play open space and seating. Public feedback will determine the preferred design option.
What Is the Same in Both Options
Both design options include:
Accessible walkways connecting the street to the abutting residential development
Free play open space
New tree plantings and green space
Play equipment for children aged 18 months to 12 years old

Option 1: Sand Play Area
