Apply to be a member of the 2026 Older Adult Plan Roundtable

The Older Adult Plan Roundtable will guide and provide overall leadership, coordination and oversight of the implementation of the Older Adult Plan. Older adult members will act as ambassadors for their communities and help ensure that the voices of older adults are meaningfully included in planning and decision-making.

The Roundtable will include older adult members, City of Ottawa staff and representatives from community organizations. It will be a large group of people working together. Please take a moment to read the Terms of Reference before filling out this form.

Application and selection process

  • The application deadline is Wednesday, December 3, 2025
  • A selection committee formed of City staff will review the applications and ensure equitable representation of Ottawa’s diverse older adult population

  • Successful candidates will be notified by email before December 17, 2025

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be 50 years or older and have lived experience as an older adult in Ottawa
  • Have experience or interest in equity-focused collaboration, community engagement, or decision-making
  • Be willing and able to attend a half-day in-person launch meeting in January 2026
  • Be able to dedicate at least two hours every three months throughout 2026
  • Be interested in sharing ideas and helping guide the progress of the Older Adult Plan
