Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe Public Consultation

Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe (MTAC) is a municipally owned and operated facility at Ben Franklin Place in Nepean. It includes a 954-seat Mainstage and a Studio Theatre seating between 199 – 234.

MTAC currently operates under a mandate that was established by the former City of Nepean in 1987, thus not reflective of the current theatre landscape, community and audience needs and the emerging technologies utilized to operate the theatres. As such, the City of Ottawa has identified a need for MTAC to establish and update strategic priorities, providing clear operational direction for the theatres.

Following an evaluation of the current operating model and consultations with stakeholders, an updated mandate and a 5-year strategic plan will be developed to establish a clear direction and delivery model for MTAC.
