The City of Ottawa is looking for your feedback on the design of a new neighbourhood park located in Stittsville. The new park is located within the Shea Village Subdivision (Park 14 in the Fernbank Community Design Plan). Although we call it Granary Grove Park, the new park is yet to be named through the Commemorative Naming process.

Granary Grove Park is a 1.04-hectare park, located at the intersection of Granary Grove and Craig Duncan Terrace, adjacent to Shea Road and Cope Drive extension. This neighbourhood Park was designed to be a special place for the community providing an array of recreational opportunities and accommodating social gatherings and events. Park amenities for active play include a half basketball court, a seasonal ice rink, a splash pad, and playgrounds. Amenities are placed close to the adjacent residential streets for easy access and general surveillance. These active park amenities are anchored with the central concrete plaza with a shade structure which will connect play activities and become a staging area for small gatherings. Proposed small berms around park amenities will allow for informal sitting during warm months. An open play area for large community gatherings and informal plays and a curvilinear pathway are also provided.

You can download and review the new park "Concept Plans: option A and B" in the link located to the right. The concepts show the proposed designs and more information on the proposed park amenities. Please be aware that the final park plan may differ from the concepts being presented because of the public consultation responses, technical detailing, and supply and/or financial constraints.
