The City is looking for input on a new park development project at the south-east corner of Portebello Boulevard and Brian Coburn Boulevard (Ward 19, municipal address 2263 Portobello Blvd).

This project is for the design and construction of the François Dupuis District Park located east and adjacent to the François Dupuis Recreation Centre. The François Dupuis District Park, is a 19 ha parcel and will contain a mix of active and passive park land and will complement the amenities found in Millennium Park. The City-owned land has been brought into the urban boundary through the recent update to the Official Plan and can now be developed as parkland.

A Concept Plan was developed in 2018 based on recreational needs at the time. The City is now ready to update the plan based on current recreational needs and standards.

The community is invited to review the concept plan developed in 2018 and to provide comments. This consultation is the first of multiple consultations; it is aimed at providing an opportunity to provide updated comments on the types of amenities that are being proposed in the park and to collect suggestions for other potential amenities. Subsequent consultations will present updated layout concepts and then focus on the more specific details of the proposed park features.

Please note that all suggestions will be considered, but not all may be able to be implemented. Your input is appreciated.

You can download and review the Concept Plan by following the link in the ‘Document Library’ (located on the panel to the right).
