François Dupuis District Park, Orleans: New Park Development
Following the 2024 public consultation on the overall design for François Dupuis District Park, the design amenities have been updated based on current recreational needs and standards, as well as public feedback received during public consultation.
The community is invited to review the updated plan concept plan, provide feedback on the overall design and provide input on specific design elements. While a skate park is included within the design, public consultation for this amenity will occur separately.
Please note that all suggestions will be considered, but not all may be able to be implemented. Your input is appreciated.

Proposed Design: Park Concept Plan

The park design includes:
- Junior and senior play areas
- Sand play
- Splash ad
- Shade structure
- Ping pong table
- Fitness area with fitness equipment and obstacle course
- Skating rink and puddle Rink
- Basketball court
- Rink bunker
- Tennis and pickleball courts
- Parking lot
- Off leash dog park, with small, large and off leash dog areas
- Cricket field, full sized
- Toboggan hill
- Disk golf
- Gathering areas
- Skate park (consultation to occur separately)
Please be aware that the final park plan may differ from the concept being presented as a result of the public consultation responses and/or financial constraints.

The park will be developed in accordance with the City’s Accessibility Design Standards.

A Concept Plan was developed in 2018 based on recreational needs at the time. The City is now ready to update the plan based on current recreational needs and standards. You can download and review the Concept Plan by following the link in the ‘Document Library’ (located on the main panel to the right).
The community is invited to review the concept plan developed in 2018 and to provide comments. This consultation is the first of multiple consultations; it is aimed at providing an opportunity to provide updated comments on the types of amenities that are being proposed in the park and to collect suggestions for other potential amenities.
