Consultation has concluded
The city consulted with the Corkery Community Association to develop a concept plan to renovate and expand the Corkery Community Centre. The concept plans were posted from December 10 – 24, 2020 inviting community comments.
Thank you to everyone who provided comments on the plans. Most of the comments received were positive and the plans were supported by the Corkery Community Association. The suggestions to incorporate indoor basketball, hockey or volleyball are not feasible in a community building of this size. The design will provide recreation opportunities and activities for all age groups in the community.
We want your feedback on renovations to the Corkery Community Centre in Carrol Homestead Park in West Carleton-March Ward. The City plans to build a new accessible addition to accommodate group activities for children and adults, including day camps, events and meetings. The addition would have accessible washrooms, a vestibule, two multi-purpose rooms, a kitchenette and storage rooms.
