City of Ottawa budget engagement

Every year, the City of Ottawa produces a municipal budget. One of the City’s most important documents, the budget is the blueprint that defines how resources are collected and allocated.

We want to hear from you! It is important that the budget process be transparent and engaging for residents. Your participation will help to inform how we engage residents throughout the annual budget process and share important budget information.

There are many ways residents can participate in the annual budget process such as reviewing information on the website, completing a survey, communicating with their ward Councillor, following social media, attending Councillor-led consultations and Standing Committee meetings. By completing this survey, you can share your thoughts on some or all of these engagement opportunities.

Survey

The survey will remain open until Wednesday, May 24. The survey will take approximately five minutes to complete. Survey results will be shared through the 2024 Budget Directions Report, anticipated to be presented to the Finance and Corporate Services Committee in September, and will inform future improvements to the budget process.
