The City of Ottawa is conducting a Heritage Conservation District Feasibility Assessment for Beaverbrook. The purpose of the feasibility assessment is to determine next steps for conserving Beaverbrook’s history. We want to understand what the community values about Beaverbrook and what the best strategy to conserve its heritage value is. This project stems from the recommendations of report ACS2024-PDB-RHU-0046, which directs City of Ottawa staff to complete assessments in five areas across the City.
The results of the feasibility assessment are currently expected to be released in the fall 2025. The potential outcomes of this feasibility assessment include a recommendation to complete a comprehensive Heritage Conservation District Study for Beaverbrook, or to explore other heritage strategies.
