Ottawa Rural Economic Development Strategy

The City of Ottawa Economic Development Services (EDS) will develop a Rural Economic Development Strategy and the four-year Action Plan, which will complement the City’s broader Economic Development Strategy. The Strategy will outline the City’s short-term (3 to 5 years) and long-term (5 to 10 years) strategy to stimulate economic growth in rural Ottawa while respecting the rural character as set out in the Official Plan, village plans and other rural planning documents.

The project will be conducted using a four-phase process, which consists of (1), Investigate; (2) Inquire; (3) Imagine, and (4) Implement. We are in phases 1 & 2 of the process and want to hear from you, the rural stakeholders.
