Our Community Deserves Better

Our police have and continue to fail our most vulnerable members of our community. Police have a past and present of perpetuating violence against racialized and marginalized groups in Canada and Ottawa is not exempt. We deserve safe, compassionate, and evidence based resources. We deserve to be supported by programs that prevent people from being put in precarious situations by unrelenting and racist institutions. This isn’t a question of not having enough money, but putting our money in the right places, for the benefit of EVERYONE in our community. We need to prioritize the expansion of community-led health and safety initiatives by our community for our community.
