Defund the police and invest in communities

$360 million for police services compared to $73 million for Public Health?

Instead of investing in the police our city should prioritize community based alternatives such as social workers, mental health services, harm reduction, accessible rehabilitation, conflict resolution, education, and housing to name a few.

These initiatives must support our most vulnerable communities and centre the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and people of colour in our city.
