Overview

The City of Ottawa is conducting a traffic calming study for Viewmount Drive (between Merivale Road and Fisher Avenue) in response to traffic safety concerns raised by the public.

The purpose of this study is to:

  • Reduce excessive vehicle speeds
  • Improve safety for all road users, including pedestrians, cyclists, and transit users
  • Support walking, cycling, and transit use along the corridor
  • Develop context-appropriate traffic calming solutions.

Study Area

The study area is Viewmount Drive between Merivale Road and Fisher Avenue, as shown below:

    Feedback from the online survey will be reviewed and used to refine the recommended plan before proceeding to the detailed design.

    Information collected through this survey will be used by the City of Ottawa to assess potential roadway modifications for Viewmount Drive. The City does not intend to collect personal information through this survey. Any personal information that you submit may be removed and will otherwise be used and disclosed in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, c M.56.
