The intersection of Sussex Drive and King Edward Avenue was included in the City’s Cycling Safety Review of High-Volume Intersections Study in 2019 and identified as part of the Road Safety Action Plan (RSAP) for functional design. The purpose of this project is to:
Identify possible lane reconfigurations to improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists traveling through this intersection
Review the operations at the intersection to propose any signal timing and or phasing changes to accommodate vulnerable users
Incorporate accessibility improvements to the intersection

Public Information Session – February 19, 2025, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm Jean Pigott Place (Main Floor Ottawa City Hall)
Public Engagement Period – February 19 to March 5, 2025
This Public Information Session provides an opportunity to review the study process and provide comments on the preferred option prior to the finalization of the functional design. Please note that the public information session is a drop-in format therefore you are welcome to arrive at any point during the information session.
The session will include:
An introduction to the project and its objectives.
A presentation of the design process and the preferred option.
An opportunity to provide comments and feedback.
Ways to Engage You can participate by:
Attending the in-person session at Ottawa City Hall.
Sharing your comments or questions via email during the two-week public engagement period.
