Strandherd Ultimate Fields: Relocation Project

The City is looking for your feedback on the proposed plan for the relocation of the Strandherd Ultimate Fields, currently located at 4061 Strandherd Drive in Barrhaven West (Ward 3). The new location of the fields will be a short distance away, at 3180 Borrisokane Road, just south of the existing stormwater management pond. The fields are proposed to be accessed via the existing entrance along Borrisokane Road.

Along with potentially four ultimate fields, the new location is also proposed to include 2 full-sized soccer fields. The sports fields will be located within the 100-year floodplain limit of the Jock River, which is well-suited to accommodate sports fields; however, additional amenities such as play equipment, splash pads, and gazebos are not possible at this site. The park will be developed in accordance with the City’s Accessibility Design Standards.

Please be aware that the final park plan may differ from the concept being presented as a result of the public consultation responses, technical reasons, and/or financial constraints.
