St. Paul Park Lighting Project

Councillor King’s Office along with the City of Ottawa’s Recreational, Cultural and Facility Planning Department are pleased to present the concept plan for the St. Paul Park Lighting Project. St. Paul Park is located in Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward (13) and fronts onto Moorvale Street to the north and Donald Street to the south.

More specifically, the project consists of installing ten (10) lights: seven (7) new 15-feet high light poles along the multi-use pathway (MUP), replacing the luminaires of three (3) existing light poles (north and west), and removing the existing cobra light pole (north-east). Six (6) of the new poles will be located on the east side of the MUP, except for one (1) to be located on the west side due to a conflicting existing underground electrical conduit. The latter pole will be located mid-way into the MUP. Lighting will be contained within the Park’s limits, with no spillage onto abutting properties (as shown in the below lighting layout).

The installation works are planned to start on October 30th extending to December for an estimated period of two (2) to three (3) weeks. Final grass reinstatement is planned for May 2024.
