Our city is making strong progress in reducing waste and protecting the environment. In Year Two of the Solid Waste Master Plan, residents are taking action—cutting down on garbage, reusing items, and using new programs to keep waste out of landfill. You can read the full update here.

• Growing organics programs: Over 75% of multi-residential buildings, that the City services, now have Green Bin access.

• A new Reuse Directory to help find local options is coming in 2026

• Expanded Green Bin service in apartments and condos

• Improved access to household hazardous waste drop-offs
