Release of Draft Community Design Plan and Draft Supporting Studies

The draft revised Barrhaven South Urban Expansion Area Community Design Plan (CDP), along with supporting technical studies, is now available for public and agency review and comment.

The CDP and supporting Environmental Assessment studies have been prepared in accordance with the City’s Official Plan and related master plan requirements for new community planning in future neighbourhoods. This update to the CDP incorporates the 45-hectare S-1 Future Neighbourhood area.

Comments will be accepted until May 21, 2026.

All feedback will be reviewed and considered as the plan is refined. Staff anticipate bringing the final Community Design Plan forward to Committee in Summer 2026 for consideration.
