Nepean Creative Arts Centre Refresh
The City of Ottawa is planning to refresh the Nepean Creative Arts Centre, and we want your help. NCAC has been a creative home for artists, performers, instructors, and community members since 1990. As community needs evolve, we are exploring ways to improve the space so it can continue to support recreation and cultural operations for years to come.
This project will look at how the NCAC is used today, what improvements are important to residents, and what new opportunities could be created. Your feedback will help us understand what matters most to you.
Why we’re doing this project
NCAC currently serves a broad artistic community including dancers, musicians, visual artists, and performers. To ensure the facility meets the needs of the community, now and into the future, we are launching engagement to identify how to best supportrecreation and cultural activities at the site. We want to make sure NCAC remains a safe, welcoming, flexible, and responsive community resource.
This project will help us:
Understand how the community uses NCAC today
Learn what kind of recreation and cultural activities, spaces, and resources are needed
Identify and explore new creative opportunities
Improve overall condition, accessibility, safety, and function of the facility
Project timeline
Phase 1 – Spring 2026: Online survey and initial outreach & Public drop in
Phase 2 – Summer 2026: Sharing back what we learned and next steps
Stay involved
Your voice is important. The future of the Nepean Creative Arts Centre will be shaped by the people who use and love it. Please take part in our engagement activities and help us create a refreshed, inclusive, and inspiring arts hub for the community.
