LT2 – Window 1 (Capacity) has concluded

The first round of procurement known as the LT2 – Window 1 (Capacity) has concluded.

On December 10, 2025, Ottawa City Council granted a Municipal Support Confirmation to a proposed battery energy storage project, known as the West Capital Power Capacity Project, and located at 1500 Thomas Argue Road in Ward 5 – West Carleton-March as follows:

The deadline for proposals under this window of procurement is December 18, 2025. LT2 Window 1 (Capacity) contracts are expected to be awarded in in Q2 2026. More information will be posted on this page as new information becomes available.
