Grassy Plains Park - Playground Replacement
What We Heard
Thank you to everyone who participated in the public consultation posted on Engage Ottawa February 7 – March 18, 2025, for Grassy Plains Park playground options. Concept A was preferred by 60% of the participants who responded to the survey and is the preferred design.
As a result of comments received during the consultation process, the Councillor is contributing additional funds to add an additional spring toy, replace the monkey bars with a track ride and add an additional waste receptacle bin into the design. The colours for the new play elements will be blue, green, and orange.
Following the completion of the public tender process, an update regarding the construction timeline will be posted to engage Ottawa.
The City is looking for input on the new play equipment being proposed to replace the existing play equipment at Grassy Plains Park, located at 85 Grassy Plains Drive in Ward 23. The community is invited to identify their preferred option and to provide comments on the proposed equipment.
You can download and review the two proposed play equipment options by following the link in the ‘Document Library’ (located on the panel to the right).
Please note: this project falls under the Lifecycle Replacement program. Council has approved the budget and the scope. Therefore, upgrades and/or replacement of the other existing amenities in the park are beyond the scope of this project. Your understanding is appreciated.
Take the short survey below to share your preferred option and any additional comments. The survey will be open until February 28, 2025.
Please be aware that the final park plan may differ from the concept being presented as a result of the public consultation responses, technical detailing, and supply and/or financial constraints.
A summary of public comments and the preferred option will be posted to this website upon completion of the public consultation.
