While many economic conditions are similar across the city, businesses in rural Ottawa face unique challenges and opportunities. Addressing these requires solutions that reflect rural realities and are developed in partnership with rural businesses and communities.
That’s why the City has created a draft Economic Development Rural Plan. The plan outlines practical actions to support rural businesses, strengthen local assets, reduce barriers, and respond to new opportunities so rural Ottawa can continue to thrive as a strong and vibrant part of the city’s economy.
City staff have met with more than 40 rural business owners, community organizations, and Business Improvement Areas to help shape the plan. Now, we want to hear from you.
