Current commemorative naming proposals

The Commemorative Naming Policy for Municipal Streets, Parks and Facilities was initially approved by Ottawa City Council in July 2002. On February 8, 2023, Ottawa City Council passed a motion to pause the Commemorative Naming Program to conduct a comprehensive review of its policies, aligning them with the new overarching Municipal Commemoration Policy(External link).

On July 10, 2024, a revised Commemorative Naming Policy(External link) was presented to Ottawa City Council for consideration and subsequently approved.

The City is now conducting public consultation on commemorative naming proposals(External link). Please complete the following survey to provide your input on the proposed names listed below.
