Consultation has concluded
Lifecycle Replacement Project
In 2020, the play equipment in Stinson Park (80 Queensbury Drive) will be replaced through a lifecycle renewal project. As part of this project, the existing sand in the play areas will be replaced with engineered wood fibre (EWF), which is an accessible surface, and the layout of the park will be changed as follows:
Current junior play area will become the area for swings only
Current senior play area will have a combined junior and senior play structure
A new sand play area will be incorporated into the play structure area
School Consultation
In June of 2019, Councillor Harder and the Park Planner held an outdoor session with students from Monsignor Paul Baxter School. Students were eager to share the following ideas for the new play equipment:
Climbers
Teeter totter
Zipline
Swings
Monkey bars
Spinner
Slides
Tree/playhouse
Sand play
Tire swing
Wobbly bridge
Tables and benches
