Food for thought! Covid 19, collab with coconut lagoon Chef Joe

The Food for Thought net-café provides good food, cultivates community spirit and reduces the digital divide in under-served Ottawa neighbourhoods.

During the COVID-19 crisis the café operations are closed, and they are redirecting all efforts to provide nutritious meals for those who need it. They target families that do not have cooking facilities and therefore face a daily challenge in feeding their children. More than 2000 residents live in family shelters in Ottawa.

Award-winning Chef Joe Thotthungal, owner of Coconut Lagoon and Thali restaurants, leads a roster of well-known local chefs all giving generously of their time and facilities.
