Does the taxpayers pay for these charging stations?

Shannon R asked 9 months ago

    Hello,

Users of the charging stations are charged a fee. These fees cover operational and maintenance costs, and over time help to offset the upfront costs of installation. The upfront cost for design and installation of the charging stations are project specific. For example, the 24 on-street charging stations that were installed earlier this year were funded by the City with support from the federal government under the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program.

Is the $2.00/hour charge also the minimum charge. if you plug into a FLO charger or is a 30 min charge $1.00 ?

W Wood asked 12 months ago

    Hello,

Thank you for the question. There is no minimum charge. Users are charged by the minute and the total amount paid is pro-rated at $2 per hour. So if you charge for 30 minutes it will cost $1.
