    This youth-driven initiative is part of the City’s Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan under the Youth Social Development Priority, in partnership with the:

    • Ottawa Coalition of Community Houses
    • Centre for Resilience and Social Development
    • Community Development Framework
    • Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa (BGCO)
    • Social Planning Council of Ottawa

    This project supports youth to take the leadership roles in project implementation, develop creative solutions and create positive change in their community.

    The city-wide Youth Forum on Monday, November 24, 2025 will:

    • Showcase youth-driven findings and recommendations
    • Celebrate youth leadership and community collaboration
    • Spark dialogue among City staff, sector leaders and partners on advancing shared solutions
    • Start the process of developing a collaborative action plan for the CSWB Plan’s Youth Social Development Priority.

    Join us for the Youth Forum—where youth recommendations take centre stage. Hear what youth across Ottawa shared, celebrate accomplishments and help shape the next steps.

    This forum affirms that youth insights will shape City policy and programs, with a commitment to report back on progress in 2026.

    • Parents/guardians of children 15 and under need to notify the school that their child has permission to leave school to attend the event.

    Designed and facilitated by youth leaders, these events are shaped by lived experiences. Youth facilitators will ask participants about:

    • What matters most to youth in their communities
    • Ideas for youth programs, spaces and services
    • How to make Ottawa more inclusive, creative and supportive for youth

    This project supports youth to take the leadership roles in project implementation, develop creative solutions and create positive change in their community.

    • $50 attendance voucher — because your time and ideas are valuable to us all
