The City is looking for your feedback on the design concept of a new park located in the Tamarack Meadows community in Barrhaven South. The New Park will front onto Pine Warbler Way and Elevation Way. The park is proposed to be named Pine Warbler Park.
The park concept includes a double tennis court, free play open space, play equipment, sand play area and shaded seating. Public feedback will help determine the preferred option and design features.
What Is the Same in Both Options
Both design options include:
Accessible walkways connecting to the tennis courts and sidewalk
Accessible picnic tables with permanent shade umbrellas
Sand play area with accessible sand transfer bench
New tree plantings and green space
Benches next to the play areas and along the walkway
Multiple slides options split between two play structures
Similar furniture styles and materials
Option 1: Blue and Grey Playground
Climbing wall connected to linear climbing nets
Spring bouncer
Swing set with six swings
Option B: Yellow and Black Playground
Four-sided climbing net with platform
Bowl playground spinner
Swing set with five swings
Have Your Say
You can pick between the play and swing equipment by completing the short survey below. Additional comments can be provided to the Park Planner through the survey
After the survey, the project team will review all feedback and prepare a final plan for detailed design and future construction.
Please be aware that the final park plan may differ from the concept being presented as a result of the public consultation responses, technical detailing, and material supply and/or financial constraints.
