Park Design Consultation has closed

Thank you to everyone who provided their input on Beaugency Park. Based on the feedback provided, the following items were selected as the preferred equipment:

  • Play equipment – Option 2 – Sperate Junior and Senior Play Area
  • Splash pad – Option 2 – Mushroom Splash Pad

Based on the comments received, the following changes will be made to the plan:

  • The park amenities will proceed with a single basketball court instead of two pickleball courts. Both amenities are in high demand, and both are considered appropriate for the area. Staff will work to find alternate locations for pickleball courts within the Ward.
  • Berming and tree planting have been added in the southwest corner of the site to support a natural landscape and tree plantings.
  • Senior play equipment has been modified to provide additional challenges for older children

While every effort will be made to provide the above features, some revisions may be necessary during detailed design, tendering and construction. Next steps, staff will be working through detail design of the park over the winter and anticipates construction starting in 2026.
